We built BrainRivals to be a place where you can test your cognitive skills without worrying about what happens to your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
1. What we collect
We only collect what's necessary to run the platform:
- –Email & username — when you create an account.
- –Your scores — the results of the tests you take, used to power your profile and the leaderboard.
- –Profile settings — your avatar, country, and display name.
- –Basic usage data — which pages you visit and when. Standard stuff, nothing invasive.
If you play as a guest, your results are saved only in your own browser. Nothing reaches our servers until you choose to create an account.
2. How we use it
- –To show your scores, rank, and progress on your profile.
- –To run the global leaderboard fairly.
- –To keep your account secure.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
3. Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no ad networks, no third-party analytics following you around the web.
4. Third parties
We don't sell your data. We do use two external services to keep the platform fast and reliable — a CDN to serve the site quickly around the world, and an error-monitoring tool so we can fix bugs. Neither receives your scores or personal information.
5. Your rights
You're always in control:
- –Delete your account — contact us and we'll remove everything within 7 days.
- –Update your info — change your username, country, or avatar from your profile page anytime.
- –Play without an account — guest mode is always available, no sign-up required.
6. Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed.
7. Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use BrainRivals after an update means you're okay with the changes.
